WaterTank ("we", "our", or "us") is a home water pump automation app that works with an ESP32 Bluetooth controller. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is used.
WaterTank collects only the data generated by your hardware and entered directly in the app:
All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not operate any servers. We do not transmit your pump logs, configuration, or usage data to any external service or third party.
WaterTank uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your ESP32 controller. Bluetooth connection data is used only to sync event logs from the controller to the app. No Bluetooth data is stored beyond the event log entries, and no data is transmitted over the internet.
Required Android permissions: BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (required by Android for BLE scanning). Location data is never collected or stored; the permission is required by the Android OS for BLE device discovery.
WaterTank may send local notifications (motor started, motor stopped, tank full, tank low). These are generated on-device and are not routed through any external notification service.
We do not sell, share, or transmit any data to third parties. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services in this app.
You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear Data" option in Android Settings. Since all data is local, uninstalling permanently removes everything.
WaterTank is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
