Word Rush ("we", "our", or "us") is an offline word party game played between phones on the same local network. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is used.
We do not collect any personal information. Word Rush has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. The only data the app keeps is what you enter or generate while playing:
All data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers. You can clear your game history at any time from the History screen.
Word Rush works over your own local network (Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot). One phone hosts the game and the others connect to it directly. Your player name, the words you submit, and scores are sent only to the other phones in that game. Nothing is sent over the internet.
Required Android permissions: INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, and CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE (used to host, discover, and join games on the local network), and VIBRATE (haptic feedback).
The camera is used for one thing only: scanning the QR code another player shows you, so you can join their game. Images are processed on-device and are never saved or shared. You can also join without the camera by entering the game address manually.
We do not sell, share, or transmit any data to third parties. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services in this app. If you choose to share a result image, it is sent only through the app you pick in the Android share sheet.
You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear Data" option in Android Settings. Since all data is local, uninstalling permanently removes everything.
Word Rush is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
